Melina Kanakaredes (born in 1982) is an American actor best known for playing detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS crime procedural drama series "CSI:NY," Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series 'Providence' and the role of Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama series 'The Resident'. Her breakthrough role as Eleni andros Cooper in the CBS soap show "Guiding Light" was also widely praised. Her most notable film credits include '15 Minutes 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief", and 'Snitch'. She is believed that she is working on a film adaptation of Elisabeth Kubler Ross' autobiography"The Wheel of Life. This movie was written by Vlas Parlapanides and Charley Parlapanides.
